BRIDGE AWARENESS IN SCHOOLS:

The Uganda Bridge Federation has been overwhelmed by the interest of school administrators in prioritizing Bridge as an intellectual game for their students. Currently, Bridge is a popular game among secondary schools in the Entebbe sub-region, with schools like Elite High School, Maryland High School, and St. Mark’s College Kisubi fully integrating Bridge into their sports calendar alongside a few primary schools in the Kampala Sub region.

In preparation for the National Secondary Schools Mind Sports Championship scheduled for October 2024 at Wakisha Resource Centre, the federation has secured a slot in the upcoming National Secondary Schools Sports competitions to demonstrate Bridge competitively. This move is aimed at introducing the card game to schools and students across the country.
