Uganda Bridge Federation Launches University Bridge Leagues
Uganda, August 4th , 2024 — The Uganda Bridge Federation (UBF) has taken a significant step in promoting intellectual card games by launching six Bridge leagues across universities in the country. This initiative aims to foster competitive spirit, strategic thinking, and camaraderie among students.
The University Bridge Leagues
In the first phase of this exciting venture, separate weekly Bridge Leagues will be held at the following universities:
- Ndejje University
- Makerere University
- Kyambogo University
- Nkumba University
- Victoria University
- Uganda Christian University
- Islamic University in Uganda
Competition Format
The Bridge Leagues will follow the Round Robin format of Duplicate Bridge. Participants will engage in intense battles of wits, employing their card-playing skills to outmaneuver opponents. Each university will host its league on its premises, providing a platform for students to showcase their talent and passion for the game.
Mid-August Kickoff
